A contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a K-12 school setting in Seattle, WA. This role involves providing occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, helping students develop skills necessary for school and daily living activities throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
- Assist in evaluating student abilities and recommend adaptive equipment or strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student independence.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working within a school-based setting preferred.
